![]() ![]() The inventory can only be brought up and closed by clicking the chest icon, it can't be made to stay open, nor does mouse wheel or right click bring it up or make it go away, even though it's pretty common in adventure games. ![]() even if english is not their first language, surely they have to end sentences somehow. ![]() and I don't think the text was proofread, the worst offender being the complete lack of punctuation (and the usual tapping nonsense instead of clicking). there's not a lot to interact with, so it's not a complete nightmare, but definitely something to improve. No hotspot indicator, the cursor doesn't change over interactable things either, so there's a bunch of pixel-hunting, which also means navigation is kinda messy until you figure out which door or invisible exit hotspot leads where. we have mostly nice graphics (some are a bit low quality), okay if forgettable music, a few annoying sound effects (every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door creaks and has to be opened every time), but barely any quality of life. I've only played a couple of hidden object games (don't like them but I make an exception if they have fmv), but as casual as they are, I have to admit they're done really well for the most part. that's pretty much it, not much narrative in the whole thing. so the dream you just had about the evil red queen kidnapping your wonderland buddies was real (and possibly the entire first game) and you have to rescue them. I figured it was because everybody's probably familiar with the classic story, but nope. I only found out a bit later that it's the sequel to alice trapped in wonderland, only available on mobile devices, which explains the very in medias res beginning. and while alice trapped beyond wonderland looks like a hidden object game, it doesn't have any quacking hidden object scenes, so I gladly took a gander. If something looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's most likely a duck.
